Merry Christmas!!

My family and I are so blessed to work with such a great group of people. We want to wish you a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful 2011!! I pray God's blessings on each of your lives in a way you have never experienced. Thank you for all you do and I will see you on January 2nd. WHAT A GREAT TIME!

Thank you all for a great time last night. I think this was possible our best banquet ever!! It is a pleasure to work with you all on a weekly basis, but it is also great to enjoy a time of fellowship with you with no work involved. I hope you all have a great Christmas season and I look forward to a great year on Ministry in 2011.

Tomorrow and Colors of Christmas

The choir and band will be wearing black and red tomorrow (November 28) because of a new series Pastor Moody is starting entitled "The Colors of Christmas." He has asked the choir to wear the color of the week for the next four weeks. Tomorrow is obviously red. Thanks for your participation and cooperation. See you all tomorrow ready to worship!

I wanted to share this message that I received yesterday from our CMS prayer chain leader. It is very well written and very thought provoking.

The Thanksgiving season is here. With rushing to prepare meals, getting ready for visits to and from family and friends, and merchants practically forcing us to begin the Christmas season, Thanksgiving is often relegated to a quick day of enjoyment.

We are a blessed people to be living in this country. We have so much for which to be thankful. Take time during the next few days to "count your blessings". Perhaps you can take a few minutes at your meal for each family member to express thanks. Sometimes we become so familiar with having our family and friends in our lives, that we take them for granted. Practice remembering how precious our families are and be thankful for their presence in our lives.

Thank you, God for blessings too numerous to count. Forgive us for getting so busy that we fail to acknowledge Your goodness. Open our eyes to all things around us, the protection You provide, the gifts You give, and above all, the salvation You offer.

"Thank God in everything (no matter what the circumstances may be, be thankful and give thanks), for this is the will of God for you who are in Christ Jesus." 1 Thessalonians 5:18

I hope you have a safe and happy (and thankful) Thanksgiving!

Extra Rehearsal Ideas

As I said tonight in rehearsal, we cannot continue to function at the high level that we are used to with the limited rehearsal time we now have. If you have any ideas of how we can add extra time in the least invasive way possible, please let me know. Feel free to leave your ideas here as a comment, email me, or see me after rehearsal sometime soon. Thanks for your input!!

"FUN"d Raising is here!!

We are now in the middle of two ways to raise money for the Texas tour. Tickets are available for you to sell to the Nellie Belle's lunch that will be held on May 16. Adult tickets are $10 and children 10 and under are $5. We also have the J103 Coupon Books available to sell. We gave all 100 of those out last night. If you are interested in selling those and did not get any, I can go get more. I just need to know that there is enough interest before I do that. Thank you for all you are doing to make this trip a success!!

AMAZING!!!

I watched the video of tonight's dress rehearsal after we were finished and I just have to say that you guys are amazing. The choir sounded awesome!! The orchestra was awesome!! The sound, lights and video was awesome!! The drama was awesome!! The whole team was just that......AWESOME!! Thank you so much for your hard work. It is already paying off and will pay off with lives that will be touched this weekend. It's almost Friday, but Sunday's on the way (I personally can't wait until Monday..)!!

We WILL have practice this Wednesday, March 17!

What a great weekend we had! It is always great to be with the people of God and be able to fellowship and worship with each other. We heard a recurring theme throughout the weekend that we always need to keep in the front of our minds. LOVE ONE ANOTHER. Keep your clothes pin somewhere that you can see it every day as a reminder of the things we heard during the retreat. I am excited at what God is doing in our midst and I cannot wait to see the things that are to come for us. I shared a few weeks ago that I saw the choir loft full and we are well on our way. We only had about 8 empty seats this morning and I counted at least 6 regulars that were out of town today! WOW. Keep loving God and one another and the possibilities are limitless!!

Great night @ Ocoee COG

What a time we had last night! You allowed yourselves to be used as vessels of ministry and as a result, God really moved in the house. Sometimes it is easy to show up and just put on a "show", but you were really anointed last night and it is because you walk the walk on a daily basis. We are all surely not perfect, but as the evangelist said last night, when you walk in the Spirit daily, you can lead in worship effectively. I am glad to be associated with such a great group of people!!
